Todd J. Cabanban, one of the founding Principals of Cabanban, Rubin, & Mayberry Commercial Realty, has demonstrated a sure command of the metropolitan Chicago commercial real estate market over a 34-year career. Over his successful career in Retail Commercial Real Estate Brokerage Mr. Cabanban has built a reputation for doing excellent work and providing value to all his clients such as Dollar Tree, Family Dollar, BP Amoco, Cash America, Panda Express and Starbucks. Todd started his career at Hiffman Shaffer & Associates and later helped to build two significant retail commercial real estate firms, Zifkin Realty & Development and his current firm of 12 years Cabanban, Rubin & Mayberry.
Todd is a long-standing member of the state committee for the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC). Todd is also an active member of Lambda Alpha International’s (LAI) Chicago Region, where he was recently honored with The Chapter Service Award for 2024. Todd has served in leadership as a past President of the Chapter as well as a past chair of the communications committee for International. Todd is also a member of the prestigious Realty Club of Chicago where he is currently serving as the current President of the organization.
His civic duties include being appointed by Cook County President Toni Preckwinkle to serve on the Economic Development Advisory Committee (EDAC). Todd graduated with a BA from Indiana University and lives in the city of Chicago with his family.
Marc is a tenacious dealmaker ranked among Chicago’s top retail brokers for his strategic approach to client real estate portfolios. Over the past twenty-eight years he has represented clients including Sears Outlet, Sears Auto Centers, T-Mobile, BP Amoco, Dollar Tree/Family Dollar, Noodles & Company, Outback Steakhouse, NTB, CVS/Pharmacy, Potbelly Sandwich Works, Cinnaholic, Moe’s Southwest Grill, Smashburger, Café Zupas, Bear Paddle Swim School, Caribou Coffee and Wolf/Ritz Camera.
Marc’s love of the deal and understanding of the needs of his clients has earned him the loyalty of many members of the retail community. Although his primary focus has been on tenant representation, Marc also has made his mark in land sales and disposition, successfully closing more than 140 transactions for companies such as BP Amoco, Arby’s, 7 Eleven and Wendy’s.
Before starting Cabanban, Rubin & Mayberry Commercial Realty, Marc was a founding partner at Zifkin Realty & Development (ZRD). Marc’s leadership in developing business made ZRD one of the most successful brokerage firms in the Midwest. Prior to starting ZRD, Marc was a vice president of retail brokerage at Hiffman Shaffer Associates and earlier held a retail development position with The Taxman Corp. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Marc holds an Illinois real estate license and belongs to the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).
Kyle Mayberry specializes in tenant representation and has spent his career
strategically expanding national retailers. He is well known for consistently securing
optimal locations for his clients. Kyle has built solid relationships within the industry and
uses his expertise and market knowledge to execute deals. He has completed over 600
transactions during twenty years in the Chicago commercial real estate market. Kyle is
recognized as one of the top tenant brokers in Illinois.
On the tenant side of the business, Kyle has worked with such clients as Binny’s
Beverage Depot, Dollar Tree, Family Dollar, Harbor Freight Tools, Starbucks Coffee,
Advance Auto Parts, Duluth Trading Company, GNC, Caribou Coffee, Play N Trade,
Accelerated Rehabilitation Centers, Cash America, Dots Clothing, Maggie Moo’s, Sport
Clips and Joe’s Crab Shack. Kyle has also been successful in the disposition of surplus
properties for companies such as CVS, Binny’s Beverage Depot and Dominick’s.
Previously, Kyle was Senior Vice President at Zifkin Realty Group (ZRD). Kyle received a
Bachelor of Science in Business from Iowa State University. He is a licensed real estate
broker in Illinois and a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).
Jackie Salman has been with Cabanban, Rubin & Mayberry Commercial Realty since 2012, and has a diverse history of working with both national chains and regional/local entrepreneurs. Jackie specializes in both retail and landlord representation, with an emphasis in market analysis, strategic leasing plans, site selection, business development, and negotiation advisory.
Prior to joining the company, Jackie oversaw a network of brokers nationally for all leasing and management responsibilities within a 5.2M square foot retail portfolio at Inland Western Real Estate Trust (RPAI). Retail assets included regional lifestyle and open-air centers as well as power and grocery-anchored neighborhood centers. While at RPAI, Jackie optimized occupancy goals and increased NOI at a critical phase in the company’s growth as they were preparing to become a publicly-traded REIT.
Jackie is a University of Illinois at Chicago graduate in Finance, has completed the leasing program of John T. Riordan School of Professional Development, and is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC). She also holds a broker’s license in the State of Illinois.
Lauren McEvoy joined the team at Cabanban, Rubin & Mayberry Commercial Realty as Marketing Coordinator in July 2023. Prior to joining the company, Ms. McEvoy worked as an Operations Manager for a company specializing in custom home décor. She is also known for having completed numerous short-notice freelance projects for Chicago businesses. Lauren uses her corporate branding and presentation design skills to give the company a clean, straightforward look and feel in all communications.
A graduate of Drake University, Lauren studied Graphic Design, Marketing, and Advertisement.
Lauren is also a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).
Cameron Boyce joined Cabanban, Rubin & Mayberry Commercial Realty in November 2024 as a Broker Associate, specializing in tenant representation, leasing, and property sales. Previously with Keller Williams Commercial division, Cameron brings a strategic approach and client-focused dedication to every transaction, offering valuable market insights and strong negotiation skills to help clients achieve their goals. Cameron works closely with the Principals of the firm to ensure the highest level of service that Cabanban, Rubin & Mayberry has been known to provide all of its clients.
Cameron is a proud graduate of Indiana University and an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC). Cameron lives on the north side of the city of Chicago coming from Fort Wayne Indiana.
When Cameron isn’t assisting clients he’s enjoying the sport of the season and indulging in a round of golf.
